Question:
The more I read about the development of T3 the more disturbed I am...
T2 for me was one of those 'special' films, Im not saying its anything like the Godfather but just one of those films (that for me) captured the same type of fun cinematic magic of a starwars or indy film. It was cool, it had gunsnroses on the sountrack:D
So maybe because of this I feel any sequel should be approached with great care...
Have we got arnie.. yep
So who's the director... Jonathan Mostow - who!? Exactly he made U5271 and thats it hardly someone who's proved his mettle.
Ok we've got Eddie Furlong as John Conner? Nope Nick Stahl - who!? Exactly - Bugger!
Well we will have some clever well though out 'villian' right? Err well that depends on your personal opinion but no I dont think a female terminator, called the termanatrix again played by a no mark actress sounds interesting at all.
Im very afraid.
I'm getting that "Highlander 2" feeling all over again about this movie...
They won't let such a golden franchise drop in quality.
U5271 was a decent action film. It was the historical anomolies which got most of our goats up here.
As for Eddie Furlong - well he just doesn't look like himself in the future (as shown in T2) so maybe a change is needed.
Not worried about unknowns playing the female Terminator. After all - who was Robert Patrick before he got the job?!

True its not so much the unknown actor and more the 'female' terminator, just seems like such a ******* politically correct stupid idea. i dont want to see a muscle woman going round as a termintor - for me it doesnt have the right feeling about it, the whole human robot thing is surprisingly difficult to pull off in a film, Arnie and Rob Pat did it well enough, however I can just see this woman being more like one of the extras from Universal soldier ressurection - ie crap and not scary at all.
Errrm, she's not big and muscular at all.

Errr, no - that was a bloke called William Sadler.
You're all forgetting Breakdown, a tense little action thriller that just happens to be Jonathan Mostow's debut. If he follows the intuition of that movie, instead of U-571, T3 could actually be very watchable.
Still, hope is a good thing.

Robert Patrick is the terrorist that stops the moving walkway thus starting the Annex Skyway ambush.

Robert Patrick was one of his henchmen / sidekicks.
Jonathan Mostow is an excellent director. I loved U-571. also, check out Breakdown

Actually William Sadler played Colonel Stuart, the leader of the terrorists. Thomasd is correct in saying that Robert Patrick played Terrorist#2. He is one of the terrorists who gets taken down by Bruce Willis in the Annexe Skywalk shoot-out.
I think Terminator 3 will be a fun piece of trash. But certainly, if you are a fan of the "franchise", a fun piece of trash will be an insult compared to the greatness of The Terminator and the technical quality of Terminator 2.
A movie with a babe playing a "Terminatrix" doesn't really sound like it would be a classic.
If you want as mono-syllabic star and a babe in tight outfits, you've already got The Matrix. This film really doesn't need to be made.

I saw Nick Stahl in Safe Passage (amongst other things) and he was excellent in that - he's fairly similar to Furlong in the dissaffected youth category but probably has the edge on Furlong as an actor.
