AOTC reaches $300m
Question:

For all those doubters who said Attack of the Clones would not reach the $300m mark then you were wrong, the film has reached this target in the States before the projected Labour Day date that Fox executives gave it to reach that figure. The film has followed the usual Sequel = Less Returns as it has now achieved around 70% of what TPM made so by no means can it now be called a failure and in fact it has performed better than TESB so that film remains the one that has made the least money of them all. Roll on Episode III.

Answers:

Someone's clearly bitter as ****.

Answers:

Not bitter at all, just very pleased to see that a film that was slagged off by absolutely loads of people (public and critics alike) has reached the $300m barrier that they no doubt thought it would not reach. And guess what, that means that all five Star Wars films now feature in the Top Films of all time. All I was saying about it not doing as well as TPM is that it followed the pattern that all sequels seem to do in that it has reached about 70% of what TPM managed to make just like TESB managed about 70% of what ANH managed.

Answers:

As I said... ;)
Besides, it wasn't slagged off at all by critics - pretty much without exception, they all far preferred it to The Phantom Menace, and you can't really argue with mass public opinion.

Answers:

i'm betting cornelius will be in here soon giving it his daily slagging off
