BTTF (R4) glaring mistake on cover?
Question:

Just looking at my BBTF boxset again and noticed something I hadn't seen before and now it just stands out everytime I look at it. I'll stick it in spoilers as I know this'll really spoil it for purists...
The licence plate on the back of the DeLorean says "BK2FUT".... surely this should be the infamous "OUTATIME" plate?

Answers:

Yeah, I noticed that - it is only artwork though, really its just putting the name of the film on the front cover, not really a big thing that the artwork doesn't exactly match the real thing.
Happens all the time.

Yeah, don't really bother me as I can see their reason for doing it. Although I don't see what's wrong with not doing it (if you see what I mean). The only thing is I can't help looking at it now every time I pick it up.
Oh, and it is a kind of feature of the film which is why I can see some people not liking the idea.

Good point ac!
Not a big thing, but I suppose noticeable all the same (if you actually bother looking! :D)

Does anyone elses have a sticker on the back of their box covering up the original disc contents. If so, what was changed for them to put a huge lop-sided sticker on it?

I beleive the list of extras is identical, what they were trying to cover-up was the claim "Over 10 hours of extra features".

In some of the photo montages in the bonus features, early designs for the DeLorean have the same license plate.

If anyone has the Back To The Future Trilogy VHS box set (the 4 tape set with the Secrets Of) you will notice that the artwork for both VHS and the R4 DVD are the same, including the license plate.

Talking of incorrect license plates, I've noticed that the title sequence of Magnum PI on Channel 5 shows him pulling away in the Ferrari. The number plate *should* read "ROBIN 1", as it does in the show, but has a non-personalized plate instead. Oh well...

i also noticed this straight away. not a major thing i guess, but it's noticeable if you're a fan, and it's pretty weak.
as for stickers - has anyone successfully removed the big white one on the front of the box? does it come off easily and without damage?

Answers:

Is the version offered by cdwow.com the same as this?
cheers.

I can't believe people could be so anal as to even comment on the fact that the licence plate of the DeLorean on the cover is not "Outatime" but "Bk2Fut". Come on this is taking things too far in terms of criticism of what is only the DVD cover not the actual DVD for which we buy these things for. People should just chill out and not take things so seriously as this continual criticism of DVD covers is just getting silly now.

Phew, I've just reviewed this trilogy for DVD Times, you can read it by clicking here (http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/index.cgi?page=Review&id=1034&story=3577) !

Shouldn't there be no licence plate on the Delorean at all? It's been a while since I watched the movie (and the boxset is at the bottom of a HUGE pile of 'pending' DVD's dating back about 3 months), but I distinctly remember the plate falling off at the beginning of BTTF. I don't recall it being replaced at any point, but I could be wrong.

Can we even be certain the car is taxed and insured?
Some people have more time on their hands than me, now that's just scary! ;)

It seems to have been replaced with a barcode in part 2.
