Question:
Okay, I've had the disc for year but only watched it a couple of times, I came to watch it the other day and in the scene where Travis is talking to Iris in the diner, it all breaks up and becomes pixelated, I can't even skip to the next chapter.
Physically the disc seems perfect. I bought it from Play and they said they wouldn't take it back because I'd had it so long, but to try the manufacturer.
Does any one have any experince with this? Or any contact details for returns for Columbia?
Thanks
Chris
Wow, mine does exactly the same thing at exactly the same point, and I got it from Play last year.....does it on 3 different DVD players.
Obviously a dodgy batch floating about.......I didn't watch it till months after I bought it and by then it was too late.

Yeah I had the same problem when I got this from Play at Xmas but managed to get a replacement.
Try taking it back to HMV and use the old 'I got this as a present' routine - should work.
I work for HMV as a DVD/Video buyer, and last year in a memo I got it mentioned there was a big problem with a Taxi Driver batch (a big batch) we took back quite a lot. So long as you only want to swap it for taxi driver again it shouldnt be a problem.
Cunning, I hadn't thought of that, it looks new so they shouldn't have a problem. Was thinking of stitching up some second hand place, but this seems far more ethical, faceless corporatio, etc.
Does it make any diffenece if I say I got it as a present and it doesn't work, can I swap it or I got it as a present, but I already have it, can i swap it for something else?
Cheers
Chris
shouldnt make a difference really, faulty goods are faulty goods. As long as the disc is scratch free it shouldnt matter. Problems only arise if you want to swap it for another title, cos then it looks dodgy ;)
