I`m writing to ask does anybody know how many Hong Kong Legends DVD`s there are. I`m trying to collect the whole lot (it`ll be a nice collection to get).
So far i`ve got 28 with 3 more to come.

Im a HKL addict, I only have Prodigal Son, Avenging Fist, Zu Warriors and Tai Chi Boxer to get now :)
Battle Creek Brawl, Black Sheep Affair, Body Weapon, In The Line Of Duty and New Gate Dragon Inn are the only dubious releases as far as im concerned (although I haven't had chance to see Police Assassins just yet), the rest are all highly enjoyable films with many being bone fide classics.



I wanted to collect them until they started releasing any old rubbish they could get their hands on.

the release was good, nice and packed ... but the film is definatly overrated by todays standards IMO

You really need to get these - NDGI's disc is not all that but it's a great film, as is ITLOD. The other three are the only ones I haven't got and don't think I'll bother until I find them realllly cheap.

IMHO you should get Prodigal Son right AWAY !!!!!
Prodigal son is one of my all time faves with Yuen Biao, Lam Ching Ying and the ever great Sammo Hung ! Biao's excellent acrobatic kung fu style is a wonder to see, and Hung's comedy and directon make this film a must own !
this film is regularly in peoples HK top tens if i'm not mistaken and is certainly in mine:)
other recommended are all the three brother films (Chan,Hung and Biao) like Project A, Meals on Wheels , My Lucky Stars, Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars and Dragons Forever(all are due for release by HKL if not already released)
anyway these are Martial arts classics with superb comic sequences !

i'm well on ,y way with 35 of them, the only ones i've come across i wasn't keen on are new dragon gate in and battle creek brawl.
i'd have the set if it wasn't for my damn criterion habit:D
