Question:
I watched my R2 Basic Instinct last night, and in the sex scene between Nick and beth did anyone else remember Beth saying "Nick no!" when he throws her over the chair?
I seem to remember it from my old VHS copy, but didn't hear it last night on my dvd, anyone else?
i did remeber she say "Nick no!" on the video i have got,
just got the region 1 ,not got round to see it yet, it does unrated on my copy,so hopefully it will be their,when i get round to seeing it soon
Its a dodgy scene really - similar to 'Straw Dogs' rape scene in my view - first she resists, then she enjoys it.
Just checked this with my French R2 copy (which is uncut) and Beth definately says "Nick, no!" and "No!" again in this scene.
This is not the only scene that is cut. I am really sure that
in the opening scene, the murder is far more brutal, with the guy getting stabbed in the face (the eye and nose) with the ice-pick
As far as I am aware this scene was toned down for the British release (The French release is far more graphic than my VHS copy)

...oh... and FWIW... the original US laserdiscs (both the P&S and 2.35:1 versions) featured the 123-minutes US Theatrical version...
