No DTS on BTTF Region One DVD - Anyone Care?
Question:

So, this is my first post, and I thought I'd just ask you guys if the DTS soundtrack that's missing from the US r1 release of The Back To The Future Trilogy bothers you?
Universal have said that they'll have more space for at least another 30 minutes of extra features if they leave it off!
Any thoughts....?

I have the R4 and upgrading to the R1 cos of the Extra features alone. The DTS track on the R4 is good but you may not notice it anyway.:smokin:

KeyserSoze,
Fraid Not. Universal or more importantly Bob Gale / Robert Zemeckis have opted for more extras rather than DTS.
Oh well, Dolby Digital is it then. I had the BTTF movies on Laserdisc (NTSC) and they were outstanding in Pro-Logic, so a new digital remastered soundtrack in 5.1 should be great - plus 16:9 prints too.
Should make the R1 version stunning.
I bet however Universal re-release them at a later date as DTS versions!
