Question:
went to play the Eminem Show dvd ( the L.E that came free with cd ) the other day and noticed it had what looked like drops of water all over it ( has NOT been sneezed upon but that's what it looks like dry to touch and weird bubbles all over it ) ... most of the disc plays ok but can no longer access a couple of features - disc goes to read then just returns to the menu. I have no idea what has caused this as disc has not been subjected to abuse and has actually only been out of the case once. Any ideas?
Someone's been bashing over it probably....
are the bubbles on the disc or the read layer?
EDIT: I need a new keyborddjfjfhkljuiasawf,m...............
Did you lend it to Stigdu and his friend?
kcx - at the risk of sounding stoooopid..... I have no idea of the dif' ;)
Just checked mine, and it looks fine.
Have you got anybody living with you who could have messed it up.
is it on the outside of the disc or in the disc
don't cd/dvd's go 'bubbly' through heat exposure? Not been left on top of a sky box or anything has it?
One of my dvd's looks like someone sneezed on it???
Picture's please.
Will we get pic's for everything else now,so why snot :p
I had the same effect on the Eminem Show DVD, it did the same thing, ie wouldnt play all the features.
It sounds like a problem with that DVD.
I got a refund on mine from play, you should try exchanging it too
the whole of the surface of the disc is absolutely covered in bubbles looks like it should be dimpled but feels smooth. Has been stored the same as all my other discs and no where near a heat source I'm a bit obsessive about disc care :dork:

mine also came from play :(
Best in the DVD and Movie Forum I think :)
edit - well I'm sure the description under this forum used to say something about the discs themselves as well :p
lol was a bit borderline - thought general forum would spare me a slapping if I got it wrong ;)
For anyone interested - emailed Play and they have asked me to phone them to get a returns authorisation..... if they can't replace it anyone know where I can still get this disc from? ( 2 disc with dvd not single cd version )
doh! phoned them to be told this is just a standard email ( i.e they don't bother reading your carefully worded essay ) and won't accept returns after 28 days.... said to try the manufacturer...
