Question:
What are the cut scenes in R2 & R4 versions as compared to R1?
:p
Just had a quick flick through PART DEUX [R1] & the 'sex' scene is definitely longer, with some quite gratituitous (though tastefully lit :( ) nudity which I remember from seeing at the cinema on it's original release.
The language is a bit coarser too with a few instances of the 'f-word' cropping up, even on the cursory scan I gave the disc.
If I spot anything more I'll post when I have watched the films in full.
The uk cinema versions were cut to begin with to get a 12 rating. Hot Shots! suffered the worst cuts of the two initially to remove nunchaku from a fight sequence. Then both movies were trimmed even more for their vhs release and finally they were cut even more for the r2/r4 DVD.
Part Deux on DVD is missing the entire 'tastefully lit' sex scene as well as the 'No Way Out' parody in the limo that precedes it. All f-words are excised for Part Deux, but one remains in Hot Shots! near the end when the subtitled Indian guy whinges at Topper for taking ages to get his batteries! And the movie is still PG. Plain weird, is what I say.
Right, I'm off to get the uncut region 1 versions for 12 quid apiece.
