Question:
with all the elvis talk this weekend, my girlfriend wants an elvis dvd.
i noticed this was new and wondered if anyone had it ?
if so whats on it ? what songs etc.....?

Elvis: The Ultimate Collection was released on DVD last week I think. I reported the specs and included the cover art on my site a while back. Here are the details (click on my sig and scroll down the oage for the cover art):
"Universal Home Video are readying Elvis: The Ultimate Collection for release onto DVD on August 12th. The impressive 2-disc release will contain film clips, home movies and footage of Elvis' homes shot on location in Memphis, Nashville, Hollywood, New York, Hawaii and Palm Springs which all in all will amount to some 6 hours of footage. The Memphis Years
Featuring key interviews with many of his lifelong friends and close relatives, rarely seen home movies and scintillating footage

Got my copy this morning and once I’ve had a skim through I’ll post some comments here. Probably would be worth picking up the new edition of Elvis: That’s the Way it is - only £9.99 at Play and it’s anamorphic widescreen of one of his best Vegas concerts. It’d complement the Ultimate Collection well as that’s more of a series of documentaries apart from the incredible Comeback Special which is the "in the round" TV concert.
That' The Way It Is - is one of the best DVDs I own..

Unbelievably the 68 Comeback Special is not on the disc! It’s just a bunch of hooey about how it came together! This is the main reason I bought this and I’m pretty ****** about it now. Additionally they’re all American made shows and tend to be a little superficial.
Might think about returning this.
