I watched it, some were good but most were just weird, as most short films are in my experience!
All films can be viewed here, if anyone's interested:

Looks like it's repeated tonight at 23:50 on C4.

My favourite, and the one I've voted for, was the first, Hard Little Man'. It's the type of story that film tells best, a concise narrative where the main thrust is subtly below the surface. On top it's a little boy getting into scrapes in a garden for 10 minutes. Beneath all that you're forced to consider so many little details. Such as why his mother takes his key off him before going out all day; the bombsite house he can only peer into; how he doesn't leave the garden or go to school/play with anyone; the lines of sweary disconnected dialogue he mutters to himself (Absent father ?); his mother's greeting as she returns with his sister (?) at night - "Look at the state of you. Dinner's ready. Shift." On such a tragic weekend, watching this bleak story about the ill-treatment, and resulting dysfunctional world, of a young child couldn't help but cut you to the quick.
Talk about film painting a picture for the viewer's imagination. This was beautiful, measured filmmaking of real depth, and profoundly moving with it. I hope it wins but I think 'Blowing It's' starry cast and ripe comedy makes it favourite.
Worth noting that 'The Shooting Gallery' returns for a new series on Ch4 this week.
