Question:
I know this was released (fairly limitled i think) in Cinema's latley but i've not heard anything of a DVD release just the cover art at Davis DVD (i think). Anyone know if this has been announced?? anyone seen it at the cinema?, what did you think??
the R1 is out now, i got it from play today. i thought it was excellent. doesn't get any more old skool these guys invented skating the way we see it today, extras are limited to a commentary and extended raw skate footage, haven't checked them out yet. definately worth buying.
Is it out now?, cool.
Not seen any reviews yet will have to go have a look. Thanks for confirming.
What's the deal with the full screen though? I thought it's aspect ratio was meant to be 1:85:1?
IMDb lists the movie as being 1.85:1 as well. maybe it was shot on Super 35?
looking forward to getting this disc myself. always been a big fan of stacy peralta, although the only skating i've seen him do has been really-old-school footage on numerous old-school powell peralta videos. dug a few of these up a while back - the search for animal chin, public domain, ban this etc. - and they're as good as ever.
ive had this for a week but ive been so busy at work havent had a chance to watch it yet (tho i did find time to watch the excvellent dvd of the hurely 16mm film "hallowed ground" which has burnquist and valleley doin lots of old skool stuff)
Just caught this tonight on More4 and was very impressed with it. I didn't think i'd like it but found it both educational and entertaining. Is the DVD worth getting?
