Question:
The latest from PT Anderson.
Hmm - well these certainly don't give away the plot of the film:

Weird...
(Really want to see this film! )

Can't wait for this either.
The US release date is mid-October (http://www.ptanderson.com/latestnews/main.htm#variety).
Hope it comes here soon after.
Going to see this tomorrow, looking forward to it as i've heard good things about it.
I thought it looked very interesting. Does the Adam Sandler character seem completely bonkers to you?!!
He has a lot of supressed anger and frustration with 7 sisters teasing him for 25 years or so. There is gona be 3 MAD scenes that stand out, you're gona love this movie.
saw this in america last year. In my opinion one of the best films of the year and easily adam sandlers best and proof that he can play a somewhat serious actor albeit mentally unstable.
I saw this film recently and couldn't stand it.
I don't think it's bad, it just completely got on my nerves. By masterfully recreating the experience of insanely frustrating and chaotic situations, the viewer gets ... frustrated and confused.
Add a teeth-grinding soundtrack, and you have a film that may be great, but is utterly unwatchable.
The direction and soundtrack do make for uncomfortable viewing at times, but it's compulsive viewing. Well acted (Sandler is great) and very funny.
Not bad, but ultimately doesn't amount to much. It's supposed to be a love story, but Emily Watson plays more of a plot device than an actual character, which made the film somewhat hollow in the end.
It feels a bit like it could have been another subplot in Magnolia. Still, any film by PT Anderson is worth checking out and this is also very stylish and has some great moments.
Well, seen it, and i agree that it has a slightly distubing underlying quality to it, which makes it at times almost unwatchable. The music and soundtrack is very much part of the experience in this film, and much like Requiem for a Dream it can be grating. But equally it can be quite sweet, particularly towards the end.
I think this is a rewarding film, a change of pace from the usual pap. I especially liked the love scene ;)
Is this released in the UK yet?

No - it's released in Feb.
Out on Friday.. WOOOOOOOOOO
Saw a Film 2003 Advance preview today at the UGC in Edinburgh and thoroughly enjoyed it although I must admit that it was very odd - not in a bad way though. A large number of people walked out of it - I think they were expecting the usual Adam Sandler film - which it certainly is not. He is very good in it though. I may go and see it again when it comes out properly.

ONE showing in MK this Friday at 7.25pm! Yay!
And after I'd already forked out to see it in London because nowhere in MK was showing it... :(

Was it good? Sandler is my absolute favourite actor, and I have high hopes for this, although I realise it's different to his other stuff. I was pee'd when it wasn't at MK on release.
Where is this Trailer? under Movies? Download ?
I can't find it.
I really enjoyed it. I like both Sandler and PT Anderson films, and it's a good blend of the two styles. Although it's not entirely Sandler's usual role, it's kind of like a more extreme, less comic version of it.
It's quite stressful watching parts of it, the direction makes you feel the pressure he's going through. One of the best films of the year for me. :)
Quite a lot of people walked out of it when I saw it, I thought it was above average myself. Ending is a little abrupt but then I suppose it's not a conventional film?
One thing I couldn't understand - could anyone explain their interpretations on the significance of the coloured bits on the screen inbetween scenes? Couldn't get my head round that at all.
