Doris Wishman is dead.
Question:

Most people wont have a clue who she is,but purveyors of truly awful cinema will be sad to hear of her death on the 10th of August.
Her commentary on A Night to Dismember is certainly on of the most entertaining Ive ever heard, and she makes no bones about the poor quality of her films.

Answers:

She was a one off. I'd recommend buying A Night to Dismember if only to hear the jaw-dropping commentary in remembrance.

:( Have to watch Deadly Weapons tonight as a tribute

Answers:

I'll have to watch my "Nude On The Moon" as a mark of respect :(
Her fetish for close up shots of peoples shoes as they are walking is pure cinema :D
I'd rather watch some of her movies than a lot of the dross that is being churned out of Hollywood.

Answers:

Just designing covers now for DVD special editions of Deadly Weapons and Double Agent 73 - Weird coincidence.

Answers:

This is very sad - with the availability of cheap technology we'll never see her like again. A true pioneer.

Answers:

I can't even begin to describe how appalling the only Doris Wishman film I've ever seen - the supposedly serious sex-change drama-documentary Let Me Die A Woman - was, but she seemed like a genuinely nice woman with no illusions whatsoever about her work, so I'm sorry she's dead.
