Great news for all Due South fans...
Newly announced at the web-site http://www.canadiandvdgroup.com/
"(August 13th 2002) Some Canadian DVD news this morning. Alliance Atlantis will be releasing the complete first season of Due South on DVD. Scheduled to be released on October 29th 2002, the 3 disc set will contain all 22 episodes of the first season. Features and audio tracks are still to be determined at this time."
Alliance Atlantis have a strong presence in the UK through its company Momentum, so I reckon its likely we might see a British release around the same time.
Still, 20-odd 45 minute episodes crammed onto just three disks? They must be double-sided and dual-layered, like MGM's new Outer Limits release. Surely.
Regardless, it's great to hear that this top series is on its way.

sad fan boy that I am, I downloaded an mp3 of the theme tune for this a while back - quality program.
Definetly one for the fans to buy :)
I can remember which season had my favourite episode:
As we know, Fraser can see the ghost of his dad, but in this episode Ray can see the ghost of his dad too - and it really freaks him out. Fraser and Rays' Dad's become good pals and follow them around trying to solve a case.
Top show, and I can't wait to order it (although Mrs Flib will no doubt think I'm really sad!)

"Just an FYI, sorry to bring bad news. I've noticed that Videoflicks no longer has information on the set and isn't taking orders, and EntertainMe has stated that this is delayed with a new street date to follow. :-( I'm very bummed and hope that the wait won't be too long. Wanted to give those interested a heads up."
Maybe Alliance Atlantis are reacting to the widespread concern about collecting the entire first season on just three disks?
I was SO looking forward to the end of October! :(
