Question:
I watched (R2) Crimes & Misdemeanors last night (got it in the 2 for 1 at HMV with Broadway Danny Rose). Strangely the film didn't have any counter reading and didn't display chapter numbers. It just seemed to show Title 2 (which is the same as the menu).
Does anyone else have this film - is this a dud copy or just crappy authoring?
Ta!
I have it but not watched it yet. If I remember I'll have a look at my copy later and let you know.
I have some DVDs that show the title only I don't think its a problem.
Just checked and mine is the same.
So MGM treats Woody Allen fans with even more disdain....:(
Monsieur, with this mono sound no extras and no clock reading you're really spoiling us!
Woody Allen won't do anything other than mono sound (even his latest films) and has no interest in extras, so that's your lot, I'm afraid!
...you'd expect to know how far you are through the film though!
In any case, just because Woody's not interested you could always involve co-stars and crew. David Lynch is another director who seems to want nothing to do with his back catalogue, and yet the extras on the Blue Velvet SE are superb - you (almost) don't miss him! ;)
