New Editions of old films in DTS...hmmmm
Question:

New films sound great in DTS such as Rush Hour 2, Private Ryan, Planet of the Apes (2001) & Fast and the Furious. But what do people think of new remastered editions of old movies with DTS tracks such as Lethal Weapons DCs 1,2 &3 or Rambo Trilogy SEs? I really couldn't decide whether Rambo sounded better in 5.1 or DTS! Dune R4 DTS was quite disappointing a complete waste of money. I suspect the same fate will arise for the forthcoming Mad Max R4 DTS release. Your opinions please....

Answers:

As long as the soundtrack is clear and the disc isn't more expensive, then bring it on, I say! I like the sound of DTS tracks better than plain old dolby stereo.

Well obviously... Dolby Stereo being the case that it is... 5.1 it is not...
Hence deciding Dolby 5.1 and DTS, is still in raging debate between members.

I don't really want to see a DTS "remix" of an old movie. To me, it's almost as stupid as George Lucas going back and remangling his Star Wars movies.
