Question:
I'm bored and have only bought 1 dvd in the last couple of months:eek: and I want to buy some more but I prefer to buy movies that can be re-watched a lot. For me I can watch American Beauty over and over again and still love it. So what movies do you keep coming back to?
Steve

have to agree with you on american beauty steve, it's one of those films that seems to get better and better every time you watch it. I seem to have watched donnie brasco an inordinate amount of times as well - a very good film but not nessisarily one of my all time favs but for some reason it holds good replay value.
Thanks everyone, I was thinking about pre-ordering the Pulp Fiction SE R2 earlier as I've heard its superb (can't believe i haven't seen it!), no-ones mentioned it so does it not have high re-watchability (i know thats not a word:p ) ? Spinal Tap and Airplane might be ordered sometime soon.... Keep 'em coming.
EDIT: While I was typing I got another 3 replies! Been thinking about getting The Thing and Silence of the Lambs actually cause SOTL is cheap:D and The Thing is another "classic" i've been told of but never seen. I've seen "The Wild Bunch" over 150 times over the past 25 years or so and I still watch it periodically to remind myself what a perfect film looks like.
"Exorcist II The Heretic" is coming up to 80 times - I can't get enough of those images, even when the dialogue is hilariously awful.
Oddly, whenever I'm depressed, "The End Of The Affair" comes in very handy because it makes me cry and is thus a good emotional release mechanism.
For sheer silliness, "Carry On At Your Convenience" and "Are You Being Served" are reliable films for raising a smile.
