Any ideas what is avaliable, i know about game of death 2 disker but apart from that and the boxset i know zip.
Anybody out there a bruce lee expert:)

Answers:

Enter the Dragon - Bruce Lee's only American made movie. Go Get it.
Oh and the there is a Game of Death 2, but Bruce Lee isn't in it, well he kind of is, but isnt really.
Then you have all Bruce Lee movies.

Answers:

Oh and if you have any further questions, just ask :)

Answers:

Game of Death 2 is not a Bruce Lee film!!!
The only complete Bruce Lee film you are missing is Enter The Dragon. He died just before the cinematic release of this film and was unable to complete the film he was making before, which was Game of Death. After he died they used the footage he had shot and footage from his other films to make Game of Death. The film itself is not very good, however there is some excellent footage on the two disk platinum release from HKL and it's a worthy purchase!
This is important so I'll repeat it: Game of Death 2 is not a Bruce Lee film!!!

Answers:

Game of Death is a joke ... his own Funeral is in it as well as carboard cutouts and scenes from his other movies :D
Big Boss
Fists of Fury
Enter the Dragon
Way of the Dragon
I think the above are the only ones to own.

you definately have to get GOD 2 disc from HKL.
the 40 minute edit of Bruce Lees footage is just fantastic.

Answers:

While Game of Death isn't a good film, the original footage is worth having. It on either the HKL platinum release of Game of Death or Bruce Lee - A Warriors Journey. it's worth getting one of these two to complete the collection!

Answers:

You should also wait for the definitive Bruce Lee's Green Hornet makes me look like dumb kung fu smuck boxset.

doubt it isn't the film owned by warner bros??

Bruce Lee A Wsrriors Journey is a excellent documentary that also contains the 40 min. original footage of GoD, but its not up to the quality of the HKL disc.
You can buy this and Enter the Dragon as a boxset.

Answers:

Anybody got the dts version of fist of fury, have seen it at dddhouse.

Answers:

Yea, Enter the Dragon is owned by Warner, I haven't got the DVD yet though cos I heard Warner are going to release a special 30th Anniversery edition sometime in 2003.

I dont know about that.
The Warriors Journey dvd documentary presents a different angle to Bruce than the HKL release, plus the extra footage is arguably edited together better.
If your only going to buy 1 then make it Game of Death purely because it contains more extras but theres no real reason why you cant buy both as each release has its merits.

I'll probably get game of death first, but what else has the documentary disk got on it?

Answers:

wow i just looked up A Warriors Journey.
100min documentary plus it has a feature length commentary as well, i think i saw a shorter version on Ch5 a way back, and that was very good, although it didnt show the whole 40min of GOD footage.
so looks like i have to pick this up.
cheap anywhere ?
i would like the boxset, but its always around £30, plus Enter The Dragon is normally in HMV sales now for £10

Yeah I have it and its not worth it, expensive with poor picture. This came out before HKL started to released Kung fu movies and contains Bey Logan's first Commentary on DVD which was ported straight onto the HKL version of Fist Of Fury. So there's absolutely no reason to buy this.

Game of Death is truly terrible. After 15 minutes of enduring:
- a Bruce Lee (not-even-a-)look-a-like walking around in sunglasses :oh-hum:
- an Adobe PhotoShop-style static cut out of Bruce Lee's head superimposed onto the wanna-be Bruce Lee's body
- seriously bad edits from other Bruce Lee films used to fill in for missing scenes :oh-hum:
- boring fight sequences from the wanna-be Bruce Lee
- much yawning
... I watched the rest of the film on double-speed fast forward. I stopped near the end though. The pagoda fight sequences are great. So it's worth owning it for that, but I seriously wouldn't spend more than £5 on it.
Enter the Dragon, on the other hand, is Bruce Lee's best film IMO. The special edition (uncut and remastered) is worth every goddamn penny! I picked mine up at Play.com for £9.99 about 2 or 3 weeks ago (R2, which has better picture quality than R1 - see http://www.dvdcompare.org.uk/comparisons/film_results_page.php?fid=650), but I see that it's now gone back up to £14.99.

Bruce Lee - A Warriors Journey is available from Play.com (http://www.playserver2.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=R2&title=94987) for £8.99, it's out of stock atm though :(

I was refering to the quality of the 40min footage (picture/sound) and not the actual documentary.
You are right about each having its own merits, but I never said one should be bought over the other one.

Make sure that the EtD in the HMV sale is the Uncut Special Edition and not the old Warner disc which is cut

come one GOD aint that bad, yeah its got the cardboard cutouts and a BL double.
but i think the fights are pretty good, choreographed by Sammo Hung right ?
and the fight in the glasshouse in the cantonese edit is pretty good. And the one in the locker room has Yuen Biao as a double right ? that was pretty good too.
