Question:
Hey,
has anyone else heard that the Brotherhood Of The Wolf Region 1 Canadian release will be a 3 disc special edition, but the US one will be just a single disc. What`s all that about??
& two different versions
here's my take on it

Different distributors = different discs.
Possibly because as there are a fair number of french speakers in Canada there will be a large market as they can watch it without subtitles so being literate isn't a requirement for enjoyment and they won't see it as an art film. I believe theres a requirement for all government employees to be fluent in french and english for a start.
Anyways its our gain as we get to buy the french edition with english subtitles finally.
Anybody know what sort of price tag this should fetch?
DVD Box Office have it for £26.65. Lot of other sites are still waiting to post a price.
Does anyone have a link or a listing of the actual specs for the three disk - it will definately have English subs? Will this be the one at DVD Box Office for (gasp) £26.85?
so the only way to get the DC is to either buy French edition or the canadian edition which is £26 ?? !!!
how much is the french one and where can i get it ?

I thinks the French 3 disk was a limited edition and is now OOP.
Also has NO english subtitles on anything not even the film, so need to be fluent in French.
The 2 disk LE in the UK will have the film and extras subtitled as well as choice of English dub or French for film (details on BBFC site). However is an HMV exclusive so expect to pay £24.99
I am waiting for confirmation of subtitles for the 2 commentaries in English on the Canadian version, not yet confirmed ?? They did this for Crimson Rivers but that was from Columbia who have more money to spend than the Canadian distributors for this.
No mention of commentary for UK looks French only and Universal could not be bothered to subtitle.
