Question:
this just dropped in my in box from cd wow
Thought you might like to know that with regard to your order for Panic Room - Region 3, we have been informed by our supplier that they are able to obtain the same movie but with a higher spec (the Superbit All Region).
Although this is higher in price, we will automatically send you the Panic Room - Superbit All Region DVD (we will not be stocking the standard region 3 version) at no additional cost to yourself excellent news, I\'m sure you\'ll agree!
Have a look at the new Superbit edition by clicking on the link below:

The release date remains unchanged and therefore we will ship this to you on the 3rd September. You will receive a confirmation email notifying you of the dispatch and we would ask you to allow the normal delivery period.
not bad for £9.75 i paid, one question though as is states r0 is this a pirate?
I think CD-Wow are a reputable enough company, but I'm suprised this is R0 - unless Superbits are going to become R0 like some Criterion titles are
I got it too - great news!
Andrew
I thought that the point of Superbits was that it was region free so that they could sell the best audio and video version (NTSC wise) of a film all around the world ?
With the ability of most modern TVs having NTSC playback and DVD hardware of playing NTSC discs, it was originally thought that only one version of a disc would be required worldwide.
But they realised that theyhad cocked up when they realised that some people only had PAL playback only on their TVs ?
Sure I read an article about this a while ago. Can't remember for the life of me where though .....
Has anyone confirmed that current discs are definitely region encoded ?
;) It is not pirate, it plays on all regions, this is obviously a web entry error by cdwow as I called them today to check.
