bad taste
Question:

Ive never seen bad taste any good becasue play.com are selling it for 8.99 region 2

Answers:

Great fun - early Peter Jackson, very gory and totally silly.
Anchor Bay have a funky version out which is better than the one Play are selling.

Answers:

yep Bad Taste is a cracker low budget flick - very cheap looking but so much fun :)
I would also recommend the R1, there's hardly any information about the R2 (such as aspect ratio etc) but the region 1 is superb :)

was that the one with the kung fu priest or the one with the soup bowl?

Answers:

I thought the film was crap which is why I was initially surpised and sceptical about giving Jackson the helm of the Rings Trilogy.
My fears were ungrounded of course, but Bad Taste is still crap IMHO.

Well it's definitely cult material that's for sure :D
But you got to admit that Peter Jackson was showing his talent when he made that film as what he managed to achieve on basically no budget was amazing in my opinion.
Also, have you not seen Heavenly Creatures ? Another Peter Jackson film which showed he was more than up to the task of directing the LOTR trilogy.

Answers:

Not seen Heavenly Creatures. Bad Taste put me off watching it. :D

Answers:

I'm not keen on Bad Taste, though I would recommend Braindead.

Answers:

Bad Taste is entertaining at best, disgusting at worst, but it is fun. Braindead is one of my faves and Heavenly Creatures is a definite must-see!
Forgotten Silver is an underrated treasure.
Never quite recovered from seeing Meet the Feebles though...

you big pansy! :p
Meet The Feebles is a classic piece of puppet cinema, disgusting and very funny :D
I love it, if only someone would release a good dvd of it :(

Bad Taste is fantastic! The documentary on the limited two disc is excellent and just goes to show the genius that Peter Jackson is. Buy it, me got number 192 of 50,000 which is nice.

Mine too.
There are just so many great scenes and lines from that film!
"Back of mate, lay a hand on me and I'll have you for breakfast!"
"I kick arse for the Lord!"
...etc.
