Question:
firstly thank you all who took part in the survey.
I was curious to see if age was a factor in whether people on the forums liked or disliked the film. I thought maybe those of us older forum members may not like the film as much as the younger forum members.
Well I can tell you from those that provided their age this was not a significant factor. The average age of the Thumbs Down was 29 and the average age of the Thumbs Up was 26. So whilst it's true that on average the Thumbs Up are younger than the Thumbs Down, it's not an appreciable difference. The results in full are:
Thumbs Down
28 replies.
youngest 18 yrs old
oldest 41 yrs old
median 29 yrs old
mode 26 yrs old (most frequent declared age)
Thumbs Up
37 replies.
youngest 17 yrs old
oldest 40 yrs old
median 27 yrs old
mode 29 yrs old
My conclusions
1. It's not always true that with age comes greater wisdom and good taste.;)
2. I think I've got too much time on my hands.
You forgot to factor in IQ instability. Those who brain jumps out the window at the mere sight of a lightsaber.

OK, I'll admit it, I loved both films (although I was suffering masssive frontal lobe destruction from a biking accident and added to that I had lost my sense of reality in an extended delusional schizophrenic episode).
Ya see, it is possible to like any film
Whoo hoo!
A Conversion!
Any other Naysayers wanna change their vote?

You're a big man and you're in bad shape, and for me it's a full time job. Now behave yourself.

That sounds painful but if it's local anaesthetic I'll give it a go
