Question:
or am i wrong and its out allready,i've only searched play and amazon
all i could find was r1
...the movie was released on a <a href="http://www.dvdfr.com/dvd/fiche.php3?id=853">FRENCH DVD</a> in September 1999...
...and on a <a href="http://www.veoveo.es/docs/detalle.asp?d=6200">SPANISH DVD</a> since May 2000...
...it is also available on Italian DVD (with a dts soundtrack - in Italian, natch!)... and on German DVD (since 2001)... and on a <a href="http://www.vivid.pl/php/dvd/tytul.php3?&sk=wg&l_p=&id_a=&l=&la=&pp=1&kategoria=rezyser&nr=11769">POLISH DVD</a>...
...but, it would appear, NOT on a UK DVD...? ! ? ! ?...
. . . :o . . .
I called Universal and asked about this and they said they have 'no plans' to release this on R2.
The Sods.
Does anyone have the R1?
Is it worth getting?

It's a decent disc. It looks and sounds great but extra's are limited to some deleted scenes and a crappy 'on location' documentry.
"I called Universal ..."
...why 'Universal' ? ...the UK/VHS release was distributed by <a href="http://www.blackstar.co.uk/video/item/7000000051247">4 FRONT VIDEO</a>...
...or am I missing something ?
. . . . . .
Try the german release. It is not too expensive at amazon.de (http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005Q3DX/qid%3D1027785318/028-9212536-9015751) It has English 5.1 sound and anamorphic widescreen. Picture quality is very good.

It's a Universal film they leased the budget video rights to 4 Front.
...oh... I see...

....I've also got this edition and can vouch that it's well worth the money.
The R1 was the first non UK disc I ever bought (from Reel.com - with a voucher. Oh how I miss those days!), and I think I might just upgrade to the German one as the R1 only has Dolby Surround.
"Woah"
My favourite film available with 5.1 sound on the german release? I'm having one!
Was I the only person who was ********* off with the fact the sound on the R1 was only pro-logic even though it states 5.1 on the back?!
all i could find was r1
