Question:
I'm thinking about buying one of these players from Techntronics (multi-regioned) and was wondering if anyone else had one?
I can't seem to find a review of it anywhere on the net! Even tried dvdrhelp.com, not a toot!
If anyone has this, could they let me know what its like? Especially for playing dvdrs, svcds, vcds and jpegs (got a stack of digital pics and camcorder clips)
Any help or advice would be great
thanks
The What Hifi review said it was rubbish basically. They described teh picture as looking like a screen smeared in vasaline. Not quite sure what they meant but it wasn't a positive review. I suspect many are thinking the DCS313 is an update on the DCS303 sharing much the same quaity but with the addition of a proper RGB scart output. However the reality seems to be its a bit rubbish and doesn't compare to the DCS303 at all.
I'd like to know if theres any all in one home cinema system out there without issues. Most of them seem to be limited by either no scart rgb, poor sound, low power amplification, dodgy dvd drives, reduced functionality with media or formats, forced ntsc to pal conversion, multiregion conversion hassle/cost etc or other issues.
Thanks for that.
Can anyone recomend a combi-unit? (important features are multi-region, vcd, svcd, dvdr and jpeg viewer)

This ones worth considering with the only thing going against it being the fact that ntsc playback is converted to pal mode only I think. I..e converts the ntsc image with 30 frames per second down to a 25 frame per second pal image. Its had some rave reviews in magazines and as far as I know is the only 6.1 all in one system going. The speakers are little beauties that sound great and easy to hide.
