Question:
Just bought the Relisys 17" LCD TV. Inputs are Compnent and S-Vid.
I want to use the component for DVD viewing, so I need a new digibox with either an S-Video out or with Component out (and I'll have to buy and component switcher too).
Where can I get review of set top boxes?
Are you talking about Sky set top boxes or the Freeview boxes? If it is Sky, then Grundig are the only boxes with an S-Video ouput apart from the Sky+ box. Thompson have just introduced a Digibox but I haven't seen the spec on that.
If it is a Freeview box that you are looking for then I understand quite a few have S-Video as an option but I've not seen Component out on any of them.
If you meana general FTA Satellite receiver then, sorry I haven't a clue!
Dave
Sorry FTA meaning Free To Air or Freeview Boxes. Just wanted somewhere were I could look at reviews of the various ones on offer now.
According to the current issue of Home Cinema Choice, the Netgem Freeview box has component out (via SCART, apparently).

You could use an RGB to s-video converter. Available at www.rgbtosvideo.com I believe.
The ickle Pace one does.

Yup I think the netgem is gonna be the boy.
I have a nokia box running with the RGB to s-video converter and there's something wrong as all the whites are blooming realy badly (although the converter works fine on my projector!).
I think a netgem and a component switcher (which there's lots of info on over on the avforums is the way forward.
Thanks for your advice guys.
