Don't buy that tv, it's terrible.

The toshiba is terrible? Why? It seemed to get good reviews.
Is this Panasonic any good?

I had the 32Z23B and had nothing but problems with it, even a toshiba engineer couldn't sort it out. I ended up buying its big brother the 32zd26p which is a much better tv.

dts,
any performance info/general thoughts on the 32zd26p you could share with me as i am just about to buy either it or the panny tx32ps12c, the difference in price between the two is quite wide with the panny being £200 or so cheaper.
thanks

The only problem i have found is a slight geometry one, nothing major. The picture on dvds when the tv is set to progress mode (not progressive scan mode) is simply stunning, on normal tv (cable digital) it does a very good job indeed. The tv will also take an NTSC prog scan signal, I imagine if i hooked a progressive scan dvd player up to it i would be in movie viewing heaven. Can't recommend this tv enough, don't get me wrong, it's not perfect but not many tv's are, but with a bit of tweaking (avforums helped out a lot ;)) this tv is a definite winner.

Tempted to buy the Tosh 32ZD26P from Argos at £899 in their current clearout sale.
Anyone got any bad press or alternative TV's which I should consider?

When i first bought the32zd26p i thought it was brilliant until the geometry problem started to get on my nerves. It couldn't be fixed and 30.

dts are you satisfied with the 32pd30?
p.s. know a couple of good suppliers to check out?
cheers for the tip off

Just spoke to a TV shop owner about geometry probs with the 32zd26p and he told me this...
"no bull but these geometry problems are caused by the magnetic pull of the Earth, we have had customers told by engineers that the only way to fix it for sure is by moving the TV around the room - obviously our clients were not impressed"
he also reckons all big screen sets are prone to theses problems.
food for thought

I spoke to a Toshiba engineer when i had the same problem with my 2 tv's and he said "We tell people it's to do with the magnetic pull of the earth and to move the tv round the room, but it is a fault on the tv and we thought nobody would notice it on a 32" tv. Leaving the option to sort this problem out has cost us a lot of money due to tvs being returned as faulty. The 36" version lets you sort out the geometry issue as its more noticable"
Both of my tvs had a 1-2 inch slope wich to me is unacceptable. If you can get a company who will change the tv if it has the problem then go for it otherwise avoid, personally i wouldn't have another tosh thrown at me.
