Question:
Hi all, I need some help here as I'm thinking of getting a DVD recorder and dont know where to start really. Will today's machines copy 5.1 sound or is it just stereo and is it best to get a stand alone machine or have one fitted in my PC?

There is no dvd recorder on the market that will record 5.1 sound.The only way to do this is to get SKY+.Of course,if you are thinking of copying original dvd's,a pc based rewriter and appropriate software is what you need.But if its tv recording you want,a standalone will do the job.
