Question:
I've been offered a chipped NTL analogue box, I just wondered on the legalities of it.
Is it the same as chipping your x-box.. i.e invalidates warranty etc
Mods please close, if this is inappropriate.
What do you think?
If you got a cable box that wasn't NTL property, then the chipping part yes, but if you plugged it into NTL's network then I think NTL call it fraud (they have in the past anyway) ;). If you modified NTL property of course, then that's probably criminal damage!
:) he hee... thought so... just checking as they say !
I know someone who used to work in their fraud department and his job was to check for this kind of thing. He told me that they used to catch loads of people.
Might as well close this. :)
