Going rate for a 2nd hand TV?
Question:

I've got a Toshiba 28" Widescreen TV with built in Dolby Digital decoding and 100Hz mode that I may want to sell sometime in the near future as I have just bought a new TV.
It's approx 4 years old, just wondering what the going rate for a TV like that would be?

My parents just shifted a 28" JVC widescreen and were lucky to get £175 for it. Didn't have DD or 100hz mind you, but the bottom line is that the bottom has pretty much fallen out of the used TV market since new ones are now so damn cheap.

I sold my 4 year-old Sony WEGA KV28FX60 100Hz set last month for £300. I'd have got a bit more in the local free-sheets but a mate wanted it and I didn't have to worry about storing it as he took it straight away. He got a bargain, I got an easy sale.
sideshowbob sold a 32" Tosh DD for about £250-300 last month.

I'm putting up my old 32" Sony KV32FX20 in the local rags for £375. I'm in no rush to sell but will be pleasantly surprised if it shifts for that.

RH is right - I sold my 4 year old 32" Toshiba 100hz DD set for £300 about 2 months ago. It was the old style set (black case) but in good order.
I think somewhere between £250 and £300 for your set is achievable depending on good fortune, condition, style etc.
