Component Cable - where to buy?
Question:

Just bought the Panny 100 to go with the Richer Sounds Limit PS DVD Player.
Awaiting delivery of the Panny :D
Quick question on the component leads though!
Seen these;
£15 for 5m
http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=03071317073574&moduleno=25043&Products=4
and these;
£5 for 5m
http://custom1.farnell.com/cpc/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CPC+Catalogue&category%5Fname=Audio%2DVideo+%2D+Audio+and+Video+Accessories+%2D+Audio%2DVideo+Accessories+%2D+Leads&product%5Fid=30577
What I do not understand is why the 1st set has 4 leads and the second set has 3.
Surely I only need 3 leads for the progressive/component connection?

Answers:

Dunno but I picked up the 3m by mistake today. Sitting at home staring at an unconnected Panny, sobbing quietly :)
Although I'm going out again in a minute to get another set :D

Answers:

Probably more at home in Hardware Forum. :)

Answers:

Can you move it there please?

Answers:

I've just gone for the 5m £5 one from the same place. Will let you know how it is when I get it

They are not the same product. The Maplin product is a general audio cable for use around the home and car.
At least the CPC product is a 75 ohm video transmission cable.

Thanks guys!
Have ordered the 5m £5 version - pretty cheap, but really just to get it up and running.
Once I have the room sorted where it will go, I will need a longer cable, so will probably get a better quality at that stage.
Thanks
