Dvd player ideas.
Question:

I am looking to get a new DVD player as my old one a Goodmans model, is pretty much destroyed and I have been meaning to get a new player for a while.
What I need is something with good picture and sound quality, that handles layer changes pretty well and will work well with Amp equipment when I eventually get around to buying that stuff, also I have a DVD RW and will be making some DVD-R discs so that playback option would be a huge bonus.
I have up to about 300 pound to spend reasonably, but I would like to spend in the 200 range.
Anyone have any ideas of what is the best player I can get for my money ?
Thanks for any replies.

You'd be amazed at the quality of the Tosh SD330 at Amazon for just £79.99
Unless it's prog scan you're after. The Limit 900 at richersounds for about £180 is pretty good in that respect.
£200 is a funny budget.

go into whsmith and pick up a cyberhome 400 for £49.99 if they have any left as they are selling like hotcakes. Plays vcd , svcd and all the dvdr's that I have tried.

Evil_Dean,
I agree with stormywhether - get the Tosh for £80, and spend the rest of the money on DVD's to watch on your new player :).
Cheers,
Dave.

Thanks a lot for the ideas, I will have to have a look at the Toshiba one, I hear Pioneer is technically better or is that not the case ?
