Question:
All of a sudden Ive lost the centre channel on my A10se. Ive done the on screen tone tests and get nothing from the centre speaker. Ive obviously checked the speaker connections and the speaker is definately powered. All the others are fine.
The amp is new to me so I'm quite unfamilier with it. I'm just hoping its something sytraight forward and the kids have somehow altered the settings.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
have you turned it off ?
thre is a menu for speaker sizes - it also allows you to st no for some of them - check there
Ive checked the sizes and they are ok. I cant find anything on the menu that states no. of speakers. The fader level for the centrewhilst I'm trying to sort this out is set +12db. Presumably if it was turned off it would say on this menu screen.
When watching sky there is some sound coming from the centre. However with dvds, all I get is the surround sound

What do you get if you use the test tone but connect the centre channel to the fl or fr speaker instead - thus replacing your actual centre speaker. (Turn the DB down to flat before you break something!)
You can turn the centre speaker off in both the 10SE and the A1SE/SR by the way. If only Denon would make the menu's slightly easier to understand you may find it a little easier - I think it's under system configuartion and speaker setup.
Its not unlikely you may have bust something in the amp - I have replaced a few A1SR's of late with non functioning outputs!
Many thanks for all your help
It was the speaker that was knackered and my local shop replaced it under warranty!!
