Question:
As many others on here have done, I've ordered the Panny AE100. I'll be keeping the TV for regular TV stuff and using the PJ just for DVDs and the odd PS2 session.
Now, this is the first time I'll have owned a projector and it's initial placement is temporary to the tune of about 3 months while I get the rest of the room sorted out. Therefore, one of the questions that I'm pondering is the layout of my other kit. ie, do I :
a) leave everything where it is and run long scart cables to the PJ
b) move the DVD & PS2 to the PJ and run long audio cables back to the amp.
In other words, which is less prone to degradation, video or audio?
Ultimately, everything will be in the same place and I'll run a long video cable just for cable TV back to the television, but that can't be done yet.

I'm not being pedantic here (honest), but you are aware that the AE100 doesn't have SCART sockets aren't you?

It is my understanding that audio is less prone to degradation. Having said that, if (when ;) ) i get a projector, i will probably run a 20ft component cable from the dvd to the pj.
Heh, habit really :D I just meant video
