Question:
Although most of my dts dvds are fine, I'm having obvious lip-sync problems on the following:
Moulin Rouge R1
Pulp Fiction (SE) R1
Robin Hood (SE) R1
My player is a Toshiba 210, connected to a Denon 1803. Are these problems software or hardware related?
I seem to recall the Moulin Rouge R1 sync is a disc problem, not sure about the others.
I also remember something about it not being possible for a DTS track to fall out of sync due to the hardware due to the way it's encoded but I may well be on crack
Phil
I would imagine it is both!
Most harware lipsync issues are not noticable in ordinary use. However, if you get a disk that also has a slight (normally unnoticable) lipsynch 'issue' the combination will make it obvious.
It is unlikely to be your amp, but I have heard no mention of issues with your make and model of DVD player.
I think all titles you listed have known lip-sync issues (certainly Moulin Rouge and Robin Hood).
My Moulin Rouge R2 also suffers with lip-sync
Moulin Rouge R1
Pulp Fiction (SE) R1
Robin Hood (SE) R1
