Freeview box with RGB pass through on second scart
Question:

Hi,
Anyone know if any of the Freeview boxes have RGB pass through on the second scart?
Also, I want it to have phono outs for the sound.
Looking at the Thomson box, but don't know if the second scart has RGB.
Thanks.

I had this problem when I was looking for boxes - I went with an old Itvdigital (!) Pace 735 as it was the only one I could find that I thought would do it - it didn't. It is only a composite pass through and every time I use the video it changes the TV format too!!
I have given up hope so I bought a SCART splitter - which is crap too.

Damn it. I think I might have to do the same. It's for a bedroom and my setup is
TV (RGB) -> DVD Player (Scart 1 - RGB) -> DVD Player (Scart 2 - RGB) -> Xbox.
This gives me RGB on all devices with no switch boxes.
The only other option is to go for the only S-video freeview box that I know of which is the Pace DTVA (?) though it has no phono outputs.
I think the PACE is the one I'm going to have to go for and maybe get some device that lets me phono out to my amp.
The TV does not have phono outs to allow me to do it the easy way. ;)

The Netgem I-Player freeview box does RGB passthru on second SCART socket, I have one of those Argos RGB SCART switches attached to the second SCART on the I-Player and use it to play my XBOX, Gamecube and PS2 all in RGB quality through the second SCART on the I-Player as having a TiVo means my VCR is seldom used and I have that attached via SVideo for odd playback of those horrible VHS things :) .
