Connecting a DVD Player to a Prehistoric TV?
Question:

I'm thinking about giving my old DVD player to my parents, but was wondering how they'd go about connecting it to their ancient TV? It was a good TV back in its day, unfortunately that day was back in 1983-1984 so the TV is severely lacking in SCART sockets, and IIRC has nothing but the aeriel socket. So I presume theres no way to connect the DVD player to it direct?
They do have a newish VCR and Sky digital, so would there be any way of connecting the DVD through those and into the tv?

Answers:

You could connect a DVD to the VCR's scart socket and select the AV1 channel on the VCR but you'll need a DVD player with macrovision disabled.

Answers:

Cheers, that might work - its a modded Sony and I'm pretty sure macrovision was disabled. I'll look into that
