Question:
Hi
Finally got my KEF eggs at the weekend and set them up last night - very impressed.
However, the wiring diagrams are a little odd and I'm not sure if I've got them set up the correct way. AT present, I've got all five satellites wired direct to my Denon 1602 speaker outputs and the sub connected to the line level sub output.
Its sounds great for DVDs but I've noticed that the sub doesn't always kick in when I've got the TV or a CD on. Should I connect them the other way they show with the left and right front satellites connected via the sub amp to filter out the low frequencies or will this not make any difference.
Lastly, any know what the phase control does and should I touch it? Where should the crossover be set and what's a good level for the sub itself?
Thanks!
Facing the back my phase control is all the way toi the right.
When you say the bass doesn't always come on make sure you turn the auto detect switch on the sub to off (in other words sub always on).
Set your amp to all speakers small and bass as sub.
Set your bass level to +10 and treble to +12.
Finally on the sub turn the bass up to about 6 or 7 o clock.
