How can I output DVD on UHF?
Question:

Reason being I have all the TVs in my house linked up so I can watch Sky, Video, plus all terrestrial.
Useful for parties having the music channels on, but wondered if there's a device that can transfer a SCART signal from DVD onto a UHF frequency so it can go on the co-ax network aswell.
Grateful for any help guys and if so where can I get one and how much?
Ta ever so much

I did this once by hooking the DVD to the VCR by SCART, selecting the relevant VCR Input and then using the VCR's UHF output. I didn't utilise it much ( more as an experiment ) so I don't know if this would be affected by the Macrovision.

Ah, yes, *doh*, didn't think to do that!
So that's answered my question as I do have a scart-management blockthingy that lets me record dvd to video so I'd be able to output it that way. Luckily my Sony DVD is set-up to disable macrovision so that would do the trick.
Thanks for the memory-jog pkr, much appreciated.

Is there a way to do it without a VCR ie is there such a thing as a a SCART to UHF converter box ?

You could use an RF modulator, although these usually have an RCA Composite input rather than a scart input.

A bit pricier than I thought it would be but will check out the idea. Cheers.
