Question:
Can anyone help me with the blocks i see on certain DVDs. I have recently been playing my R1 sets of The Sopranos. When i play them anything red seems to go all blocky (sorry i dont know the technical term). I notice this with other DVDs like R2 Last Man Standing. With that DVD it cant seem to handle the bright sand effects throughout the film. Is there any technology i can buy or can anyone recomend a DVD player which solves the problem.
Also does the picture being Anamorphic help the blocking.
I have noticed that Last Man Standing R1 is Anamorphic but R2 is not. With PAL (R2) being faster is it worth me buying the R1 version. All the best. LJR.
