Question:
I have a Video sender package (includes receiver)
My set up
Sky Digital into TV
Scart extension into Sky Digital
Scart extension (3 sockets) V/Sender (transmitter) and DVD player from player to Scart extension.
My son has the receiver in his bedroom.
Sky Digital works perfect, but there is NO DVD player signal, can you see where I have gone wrong with my scarts??
Hope someone can help!
Downstairs on the main TV, I can watch DVD and sky!
Different set up to yours but this is what I do....
Scart from DVD to TV
Video sender is put into the sky box and a scart runs from this to the TV (the scart attaches to the video sender scart.
DVD and Sky works on TV upstairs.
So.....
I would try your video sender to sky box and run the extension from this.
Still a bit confused.
We have 2 scarts on the back of the TV, ONE IS AV1, the other one doesn't work.
The DVD player has 1 scart (this is connected to the sky box)
Sky Digi Box has 2 scarts (these are filled by the DVD and sky to the TV)
This means there is no room for the video sender??
I can get either sky or DVD, but not both, I was hoping to transmit both to his bedroom.
Any other ideas
Does the video sender have composite phono inputs as well, or just the scart socket?
If it does, you can connect your DVD player with these.

The transmitter and receiver come with a lead, each.
The lead has red, yellow and white plugs, the wire is about 1 metre long and has a scart connector on the end.
So yes I think they have the phono inputs.
In the book it has these as
WHITE left audio jack
RED right audio jack
YELLOW video jack
These are the ones I have. (http://www.tranwo.com/product_htm/product_2020.html)
I have done it
DVD into Sky
Sky into VCR
VCR into scart extension
scart extension into TV
Transmitter into scart extension
RF sky to Video
RF video to TV
I can play DVD and SKY upstairs.
I can watch sky downstairs whilst the DVD is running upstairs.
 Well done.
Running the DVD signal through the video doesn't give you any Macrovision problems though, does it?
These Video Senders which are the best -- performance wise
my setup is the following
dining room
29" CRT svhs vcr currently using one of those crappy £8 indoor aerials appalling picture
Living room
Plasma tv
Pace Sky box
DVD player
both connected via loop on Sky box to an RGB>VGA Converter to the plasma,
sound is fed direct via phono sky-amp
sound from DVD via dig/optical-Amp
TV in bedroom has no aerial.
so in short what do I need to buy to connect this lot, and would like to buy a good sender system
One for all have just released a new Sender System according to the Latest What Video magazine.... it gets a 5 star score
also in the very near future will be buying a set top DVD Recorder
he TV in my sons bedroom as no ariel too!
Best video sender, I don't know, but the one I have got is from maplins at £49.99 from £79.99, saving £30. Also you can add on extra receivers, which you have to purchase seperate.
I don't really know enough to advise you.
The picture quality and sound in near perfect, my sky picture downstairs has suffered picture wise, but not a great deal, perhaps the set I have used could be improved, but it's working so I am going to leave it for a while, perhaps because its going through the video which is causing loss of picture quality on the sky.
Hope someone can help!
