Question:
Am looking for a cheap HC setup for girlfriends sister and soon to be husband. Its for a small room so nothing to powerful. Looking to spend around £200, they already have a DVD Player
Any help appreciated.
You want everything for £200 or less? I've never heard one myself, but those that have the Videologic Digitheatre seem to like it well enough. I think there was a thread in the Bargain Forum for these recently.

I know i said to spend a little more but that all they have.
From what people have said, the Videologic does a pretty good job for the price. You get what you pay for, but if they've only ever had mono or stereo sound then it's still a major step up. :)
I had the DTS Digitheatre myself a while ago. Do they still sell this or the DD one?
The one in the thread I posted is the DTS one I think. I scanned through the thread and the general consensus is that the silver one is better than the black one for some reason.

That Sony one could be just the trick and it even has DTS as well.
Looks nicer than the Videologic as well. They only have a really small room so don't want anything to powerful.

No problem, Nero. I find that most "regular" people are reassured by a Sony badge on electrical equipment. It even has DPL II, which is a bonus. :)
If you do buy from Empire Direct then I think they have a link from this site somewhere. Or maybe a friendly mod could affiliate the link in my post?
I have a Yamaha set-up myself that cost me a bit more, but as you said the fact they don't really know alot of the subjet, i think the Sony badge will reassure them.

Appologies, I did read the post below after. However they were affiliated to someone other than us so you could have just removed the affiliation first. Both yours were clearly affiliated to other sites.
