I was wondering if anyone here has mounted a plasma on an active chimney brest and what insulating precautions should be taken? My living room is one of those awkward sods that won't accomodate a projector and speakers/seating in a conventional cinema style layout and one option I often consider is putting a plasma over the fireplace and then arranging the speakers around that. I would be concerned about the possibility of heat and/or smoke damage. What's the advice on this? "Go for it!" or "Ron you're a deranged lunatic. Don't even THINK along those lines!"
