Nothing to worry about unless Thomson go bust, In May last year Thomson bought Grundig set-top-box manufacturing operations located near Cardiff, So any updates are done by Thomson.
And all those new Thomson FTA boxes you see in places like Dixons (along side those Grundig FTA boxes) are based on the old Grundig FTA boxes.
