Question:
I need help - I have a widescreen/flatsceen triniton which i just caught my three year old son scrubbing with a magnetic white board rubber. The screen has now gone pyscadelic with blues, purples and greens all over the place - can anyone suggest a quick fix?
thanks

yoinks - how about putting him up for adoption? ;)
Try turning the TV on and off a couple of times to see if it degausses by itself. I *think* the next recommended thing to do is to switch off for a couple of hours to see if the magnetism clears.
Failing that, I think that most TV repairmen have degaussing equipment.
Sony TV's degauss when the switch on. I would also recommend switching it on and off a few times.
I would also try unplugging it for a while as well.
You could also use the magnetic board rubber again - start in the middle of the screen and in a circular motion slowly progress to the edge.
Thanks for your replies - tried turning it off and on a few times last night but no luck. Left it off all night (as you do) and it has degaussed itself. Panic over.
cheers
