help with Pioneer DCS-303 - black and white picture.
Question:

All in black and white on the TV, all connections in properly.
Using S-Video port in back of player, which connects to the scart at the back of the TV.
Any advice on how to get colour?

Answers:

Are you playing an NTSC disk? If so then its probably that your TV is not liking the NTSC signal. The other thing may be that your SCART on you TV is not set to accept S-Video?

Answers:

the display is black and white before i even put a disk in. Doesn't matter which region i put in, it remains b&w.
I assume that means it is the TV, it is a Matsui at the moment. I cannot see any mention of selecting the TV to accept S-video.
So any other options? the DVD player doesn't have a scart option, so what else can i do?

Answers:

If the DVD player doesn't have scart then composite will probably be your only option :(

Then thats beacause your Tvs scart is not accepting a S-Video input. If theres only one scart, then its composite and RGB only.
Only options are to get a TV that accepts S-video, or use the DCS303 composite out.
HTH?

Answers:

Tv does not accept s-video, crappy TV my brother just bought.
