My Q is how do I set up my xbox so that I can have games in DD5.1 or DTS?
I was looking at these cables monster cables but am not sure.
I have a video connection (yellow, red, white and SVideo)on the front of the amp and can put the xbox in here but obviouly no picture. There is a monitor out on the back of the amp but where does this go to????
I have seen loads of different cables but ideally i would like to set it up via an optical cable....so am I right in assuming i need to buy a few of these "special wires" in order to get what I want
Any help or urls much appreciated.
MODS: sos if this is in the wrong place but I need mans who know more about the AV than the SeXBOX

I think I'd buy a clever cable from currys or dixons or wherever, that'd let me take an RGB scart to the back of the tv directly, and a 5.1 signal (via toslink or whatever it is they use these days) to the amp. It'll be the £15 one, with all the ends on it.
My experience tells me that a switchable svideo connection on the amp does not a good signal make, so if you're retentive about these things go direct.
If you're using your amp as a scart switcher, that'd work too.
Probably, who knows?
