Question:
anyone got any ideas where i might find out how to access the service menu on my lg tv?
i seem to have found details of how to do it on every other brand except the one i have!

I have the same set. On my remote theres a menu buton that takes you into all the features. It's above the red button.
that just gives me the standard stuff
i wanna move the picture to the right a bit
it wont let me do that
(or if it does, i cant figure out how!)
i assume that the lack of a reply means that you dont know how to get into the service menu and adjust the picture then?

I am looking for the manual for the tv.
i have the manual and it doesnt say anything about how to get into the service menu... most TV companies wont print (or make it that easy) to get into the service menu coz they dont want you messing with the settings and having to have a bloke come out and fix them... they'd rather the bloke came out and played with the secret settings if you have a problem...
i'm hoping you know how to access those secret settings on the LG coz nobody else seems to have a clue...

Don't know if this will work but try this.
you need to hold down both the front panel OK button and remote OK button at the same time. After about 5 seconds the service menu pops up. You then use various remote control buttons to alter menu settings, switch between different menu pages, etc.
there isnt a front panel OK button.. just the power button, programme up & down and volume up & down..
are you sure we have the same TV?

im sure between us we can find out somehow!
does your tv have the same problems?
my picture is just a little too far to the left
(i can tell coz centred titles arent centred but a little to the left)
and id love to pull out a little too (although i dont know if that's possible)
coz on some subtitled movies (together being one) i'm losing the bottom of the subs
(not so much so i cant read them but its still annoying!)
anyway.. we shall solve this.. god luck to us both
