Question:
My old ITV Nokia box keeps crashing at the wrong times, so Tivo is recording a mass of squiggles (and when it means I miss CSI, then it is time to say goodbye).
Need a new freeview box, any recommendations or bargains around?
Don't have a tv at the moment, just using a projector so would prefer one with an S Video output (if there any any). Although not sure if Tivo can do S Video.
What other options would I have, an RGB to SVideo convertor or a proV?

the pace one does svideo out (through SCART I think)
The Tivo doesn't do s-vid though (in or out)
An rgb->svid (or rgb->component) would sort you out - an then any freview box you fancy
I've got the Panasonic one - the main failing is the lack of a timer, but being a tivoed fellow it doesn't matter. The Nokia 221T (not sure if it works with tivos yet) and the Grundig are both meant to be reasonable too

The Pace DTVA offers Composite, S-video or RGB over scart, but to connect it to an S-video socket you would need a breakout, which costs about £12 from Maplin.

I picked up the Grundig 1500 effort today (had been reduced in Currys to £80 from £90, so my resistance crumbled). The Nokia was around £135.
