4 Ohm speakers?
Question:

Anyone know any companys that do 4 Ohm speakers, I know that all Linn speakers are 4 Ohm, and most other companys seem to do 6-8 Ohm.
Would there be any problems using a mix of 4/8 Ohms in the same system?

Answers:

Anyone?

Answers:

I used to have all 8 ohm speakers for fronts, centre and rears (Alll B&W 600 S2 series)
Now, I have 8 ohm speakers on front (B&W 602 and CC6 centre) and 4 ohm ones on rears (old B&W 2002 speakers). I then set the amp to 4ohms from the 8ohms setting.
I don't know if it is safe to put 4ohms on fronts and 8ohms on rears.

Answers:

Thanks for that, I suppose I cant actually set my power amps to 4/8 ohm though, so I don't know what will happen if I mix them.

Answers:

MY amp is set to 4 - 16ohms from the old 8 - 16 ohms setting. It is not set at exactly 4ohms.
If your amp has 4 -16 ohms then it should be okay.

Answers:

Ahh, makes sense now, the amp is OK to do 4 ohm, so sholud be OK I assume. Just thought you had some setting which allows for differences and compinsates for them - doh!
